The Wisconsin Farmers Union is happy about the new Climate Change Bill that passed the House of Representatives Friday night.
They applauded Wisconsin Represenatives Baldwin, Kind, Moore, Obey and Kagen for supporting the American Clean Energy and Security Act.
The cap and trade bill will give incentives for farmers who cut back their carbon emissions.
“Farmers have always been the best stewards of the environment. ACES provides a historic opportunity for farmers to realize market-based financial benefits for their efforts,” said WFU President Sue Beitlich. “Carbon sequestration is an innovative way of enhancing income for farmers while protecting the environment."
The Climate Change Bill now moves to the Senate for debate.

This is a travesty. It is nothing but a tax raising, job killing, economy destroying monstrosity. Every single one of these people should be thrown out of office. Global warming is the biggest lie ever perpetrated on the population and it is being pushed by people who have one goal and only one. That is to raise taxes and thereby amass power for themselves. Wake up! These people are the enemies of free market capitalism and they will say and do anything to turn this into a socialist utopia. Anyone who voted for this is guilty of nothing less than treason. They are the 21st century equivalent of Benedict Arnold.
