At Lakeview Berry Farm it's the sweetest time of the summer.
The family farm, located just south of Mosinee, officially began their strawberry picking season on Monday.
For twelve years the farm has grown four kinds of raspberries, but has recently expanded into strawberries.
Already customers are craving to get their hands dirty.
"They love picking their own. Most people do pick their own if they have the time, that seems to be the one factor they just don't have the time, otherwise they love getting out in the field and tasting the berries for the first time," said Danielle Banks, co-owner of the farm.
And so far so good.
Customers are raving about how juicy and sweet the strawberries are.
Though it's a lot of work for the family, Banks says she looks forward to putting fresh fruit into the hands of the community.
Lakeview Berry Farm is open 7 a.m. until dark.
