Fond du Lac Cold Case Gets Fresh Look

An unsolved murder in Fond du Lac County is getting a fresh look after nearly two decades.
Investigators believe technology and tips could lead them to the killer of 18-year-old Berit Beck.
19 years ago, Berit was heading to Appleton from Fond du Lac for a work training seminar.
On her way there, she stopped at a drug store and bought a few itemse.
Several hours later, her mother received a call that she had never arrived in Appleton.
The Becks pleaded for their daughter's safe return as hundreds of volunteers searched for the young woman.
A few days later, a man spotter her van with her belonging's inside at a store parking lot.
Six weeks later, her body was found in a weedy ditch in the town of Waupun.
Investigators and the Becks are asking for people to come forward with any information they may have about what happened to Berit.
Berit's parents also say a lot of evidence was found in the van and they hope advances in DNA technology could lead to the killer or an accomplice.
