MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A deputy's on-again, off-again girlfriend told him the day before he killed her and five other people in Crandon that she didn't know how she felt about him.
Forest County Sheriff's Deputy Tyler Peterson was off-duty when he broke into girlfriend Jordanne Murray's Crandon apartment during a party Oct. 7, saw her with another man, and shot her and the others.
The state Justice Department released records of text conversations between Peterson and his victims Thursday.
Murray tells Peterson in text messages on Oct. 6 she doesn't think he's treating her right and she doesn't know how she feels about their relationship.
Peterson responds by telling her they're a match made in heaven and he wants them to be together for the rest of their lives.
