Strong, Windy Weather System Coming Into Wisconsin Save Email Print
Reporter: Associated Press

UNDATED (AP) -- A weather system creeping toward Wisconsin could bring tornadoes and large hail through Wisconsin starting today.

So says the National Weather Service.

The thunderstorms and strong winds are expected to reach eastern Wisconsin by tonight.

In Milwaukee, gusts may reach 45 miles per hour despite highs that could reach 90 degrees.

Jeff Craven of the National Weather Service says that could mean down trees and power outages in the area.

The potential for damaging wind is expected to end by tomorrow.

Lori Getter is the spokeswoman for Wisconsin Emergency Management.

She says they may partially activate their emergency operations center in Madison.
