WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ...in effect for Wood, Portage, Waupaca, Waushara, Juneau and Adams Counties until midnight Wednesday. ...in effect for Shawano and Menominee Counties until 6 am Wednesday. Light snow will continue across the area the rest of the afternoon. Additional accumulations of less than an inch are expected north of Wausau, with up to an inch to the south. The snow will gradually diminish to flurries this evening with some minor additional accumulations to the south and east of Marathon County. Gusty north to northwest winds will cause blowing and drifting of the snow this evening and tonight. FORECAST (updated 3:15 p.m. 2/9/10) EVENING: Flurries and some light snow north of Marathon County; light snow gradually diminishing to flurries with some minor accumulation to the south and east. Temperature readings by mid evening in the upper teens to low 20s. Winds north 10-20. TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with flurries. Snow showers possible north in the Lake Superior snowbelt. Lows near 10. Winds north/northwest 10-20. WEDNESDAY: Snow showers or flurries possible north, otherwise becoming partly sunny. Breezy. Highs around 20. Winds northwest 10-20 early, diminishing by late afternoon.
