LAKE-EFFECT SNOW WARNING ...The National Weather Service has issued a Lake effect Snow Warning in effect until 6 a.m. Friday for portions of northern and northwestern Wisconsin, including Vilas County. ...Lake-effect snow showers will develop in the Lake Superior snowbelt with accumulations up to 8-12" over the northwest part of the county, to 3-5" to the south. Some snow accumulations will also be possible across counties adjacent to Vilas County. Gusty northwest winds will cause blowing and drifting of the snow leading to hazardous travel conditions.

TODAY: Partly sunny at times with occasional flurries. Cloudy with lake effect snow showers far north. High 21-26. Wind northwest 15-25 and gusty.
